She was scared when she sang \u201cI Dreamed a Dream\u201d from Les Mis\u00e9rables in front of Simon Cowell.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She became very famous, and she made a lot of money selling her albums.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>People have always talked and guessed about the singer\u2019s romantic life. Her story still inspires many people today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAfter my big break,\u201d Boyle explained, \u201cI used to watch the world from the sidelines. But now, I\u2019m part of it, and even though it\u2019s scary, I\u2019m going to accept it.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During her first year of being super famous, she earned $6.8 million.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Susan Boyle offers a look inside her childhood home after it\u2019s been fixed up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Her second album made her very famous in the UK and the US. She became the third artist ever to do this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Even though she was a shy and humble person from Scotland, who was 47 at the time, she suddenly became very famous and rich.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Susan Boyle has stayed the same as a person, even though her job has taken her to many places around the world and made her very rich.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Unlike many other famous people who live in fancy ways, the singer still owns her childhood home in Blackburn, Scotland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Back in 2010, she chose to buy this small house.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She said, \u201cIt\u2019s good to stay connected to your roots. It helps you stay down-to-earth and stops you from saying things you might regret.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Susan Boyle was born on April 1, 1961. Her family comes from County Donegal in Ireland. Her dad, Patrick, was a miner, and her mom, Bridget, was a shorthand typist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She is the youngest of four brothers and six sisters, so she grew up in a big family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They lived in a council house in West Lothian, Scotland. Susan still lives there today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rather than purchasing a fancy mansion in Beverly Hills or going to a tropical island, she bought the four-bedroom house where she spent her childhood in Blackburn, Scotland. She fixed it up to make it just the way she likes it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She shows us around her freshly decorated home, where she\u2019s lived for 60 years. They must have more room now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As you look around the house, you\u2019ll see lots of cute animal decorations and framed certificates showing her career. These things show that she\u2019s a kind and easygoing person.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Upstairs, Susan shows us the room she used to share with her two sisters, but now it\u2019s only hers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She remembers her childhood when she would listen to The Osmonds on the record player in the corner of the room.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By the time her dad passed away in the 1990s, her brothers and sisters had already moved out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Susan stayed home and looked after her elderly mother until she passed away in 2007.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She explained, \u201cSome people may be surprised that I decided to stay in my family\u2019s house. But why not? I feel like my mom is still here, and there are so many happy memories\u2026 I\u2019ve lived in this house for most of my life, and I won\u2019t leave because it\u2019s a part of my history now.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Susan has always been open about wanting to find real love and have a committed relationship. Since she doesn\u2019t plan on moving out of her house, her future partner will probably live there with her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While she waits to meet the right person, she\u2019s been focused on something else. Susan has always dreamed of being a mom and having her own family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve never had kids, and that\u2019s something I wish I did. But I really enjoy being around children; they\u2019re a lot of fun,\u201d she told The Sun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since she\u2019s in her 60s now, she knows she doesn\u2019t have much time.
