I love it for summer gatherings!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>INGREDIENTS<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>FOR THE CAKE<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>2 sticks (226g) unsalted butter, slightly softened<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 cups (400g) sugar<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>3 large eggs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 cup (242g) sour cream<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u2153 cup (81g) milk<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 teaspoons (8g) vanilla extract<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>3 cups (342g) cake flour (plain in the UK) \u2014 if you do not have cake flour see substitution below<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>3 teaspoons baking powder<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00bd teaspoon (3g) salt<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 \u00bd cups diced peaches tossed in 1 Tablespoon flour \u2014 (We use canned most often but if you prefer fresh, that works too.) Dice into<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>small pieces so the peaches will be less likely to sink to the bottom of the cake pan.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If using canned peaches, buy two 15oz (425g). Reserve the juice for brushing layers.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If using fresh peaches you will need 6 to 8 peaches depending on size<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Peach Preserves\/Jam<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>PEACHES AND CREAM FILLING<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>1 small box Jell-O 3.4oz (96g) Vanilla Instant Pudding (It must be instant)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 cups heavy cream or whipping cream ( not a whipped topping such as Cool Whip)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 cup diced peaches (canned or fresh)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>FOR THE CREAM CHEESE FROSTING<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>2 Sticks, 1 cup, (226g) unsalted butter, slightly softened<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 (8 oz ) packages cream cheese (total weight for two (452g) I use full ft cream cheese. Using reduced fat or spreadable cream<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>cheese will cause the frosting to be too soft. Soften slightly.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 teaspoons (8g) vanilla extract<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00bd teaspoon (2g) salt optional \u2013 it will cut the sweetness, popcorn salt is best, it is fine and dissolves faster<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>6 to 6 \u00bd cups (690g to 747g) powdered sugar<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<div style=\"font-size: 0px; height: 0px; line-height: 0px; margin: 0; padding: 0; clear: both;\"><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This flavorful Peaches and Cream cake from scratch is so moist and delicious!
